Treatment

Full mouth rehabilitation

Rebuilding both arches when teeth are worn down, broken, missing or failing. Planned as one case, staged over two or three trips, priced in writing before anything begins.

What it involves

Full mouth rehabilitation is not one procedure but a sequence: removing what cannot be saved, treating gum disease, placing implants where teeth are missing, restoring the remaining teeth with crowns, and re-establishing a bite that distributes force correctly. It applies where years of wear, grinding, acid erosion or successive failed treatments have left the mouth without a stable working relationship between the upper and lower arches.

Who it suits

  • Severe wear, with short, flattened or chipped teeth and a collapsed bite
  • Multiple failing crowns and bridges done at different times
  • A combination of missing teeth and heavily damaged remaining teeth
  • Jaw joint discomfort and muscle pain linked to an unstable bite

Planning comes first

Nothing is done at the first appointment beyond gathering data: CBCT, full photographic series, digital scans of both arches, bite registration, and periodontal charting. From that we produce a staged plan with the sequence, the number of trips, the timings and an itemised price. You receive it in writing and have as long as you want to consider it.

Typical staging

Trip one, five to seven days

  • Extractions, periodontal treatment, any implants and grafting.
  • Provisional restorations that establish the new bite height and shape.

Living with the provisionals, two to four months

This stage matters more than it sounds. You test the new bite in daily use, and anything that does not work is corrected in the provisionals, where corrections are cheap, rather than in the final ceramics.

Trip two, five to seven days

  • Final scans, framework and try-in stages.
  • Fitting of the definitive zirconia crowns and bridges, arch by arch.
  • Night guard made before you leave.

Cost

Because scope varies enormously, the price is built from the published unit prices: €400 per implant, €170 per zirconia crown, €100 per metal-porcelain crown, €500 for bone regeneration where needed. Your plan lists every unit, so you can see exactly what makes up the total.

Aftercare

A rehabilitated mouth needs maintenance: six-monthly hygiene, nightly use of the guard, and a check of the bite once a year. We provide the full clinical record so a dentist at home can maintain the work between trips.

FAQ

Questions about this treatment

It depends entirely on how many implants and units are involved. Cases typically range from a few thousand euro to the cost of two full arches. Every plan is itemised from our published unit prices, so nothing is bundled or hidden.

Four to eight months from the first trip to the final fitting, with two or three visits to Tirana of about a week each.

No. Provisional restorations are fitted at every stage, including immediately after extractions.

Yes, and for some patients that is easier financially and physically. It does need careful planning so the first arch is built to a bite the second one can meet.
